Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 October 2026
GigaMail is open-source software that you download and run on your own computer. These terms cover the software, this website and the few things we do provide as a service, such as a mailbox for testers. They are short because there is little between us: no account, no subscription, no server of ours holding your data.
Who we are
GigaMail is published by Adecubed, Milan, Italy. You can reach us at founder@adecubed.com. The source code is at github.com/adecubed/gigamail.
The software
GigaMail is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 or later. The license, not these terms, governs what you may do with the code: use it, study it, change it and redistribute it under the same license. Commercial licenses for other uses are available on request.
The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, as the license states. We work to keep it reliable and we publish every change in the repository, but we do not promise that it is free of defects or fit for a particular purpose. You remain responsible for the mail you send with it, including what an AI agent sends on your behalf after your approval.
Your AI agent
The AI agent you connect to GigaMail, such as Claude Code or Codex CLI, is a separate program under its provider's own terms. GigaMail gives that agent access to your mailbox and stops every action that changes something until you approve it. What the agent reads, and what its provider does with it, is between you and that provider. See our Privacy Policy.
Your accounts and your conduct
The mail accounts you connect are yours. You are responsible for having the right to use them and for complying with their providers' terms. You agree not to use GigaMail to send unsolicited bulk mail, to impersonate others, or to break any law that applies to you. The software's built-in limits on automatic sending exist to protect your recipients and your reputation, and must not be removed to do any of the above.
Mailboxes we provide
From time to time we offer a mailbox on a domain we own, such as gigamail.pro or gigamail.ai, for example to people who test GigaMail and report what they find. Such a mailbox:
- is provided free of charge for the period stated in the offer, after which it may be closed or offered on other terms;
- is hosted by a third-party email provider under that provider's terms, not on servers of ours;
- may be suspended without notice if it is used for spam, abuse or anything unlawful;
- comes with no guarantee of availability or of message delivery, and is not a place to keep anything you cannot afford to lose.
We do not read the mail in these mailboxes. We can see what any mail administrator can see: that the mailbox exists, its size and its traffic volume.
This website
The site at gigamail.ai is informational. The interactive part is a simulation with no real email. Links to GitHub, PyPI and Apple or Microsoft services lead to those companies' terms.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Adecubed is not liable for any loss arising from the use of the software, this website or a mailbox we provide, including lost mail, lost data or mail sent in error. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, which for the open-source software and the tester mailboxes is nothing.
Changes
Changes to these terms are published on this page with a new date at the top. The history of the file is public in the repository, so you can see exactly what changed and when.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Italian law. Nothing in them limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence.
